When I started getting more proficient with Blender, more complex artwork ideas started flowing in, waiting to be created.
One specific theme that kept recurring was a fort––the Inner Fire was appearing to me, and I finally listened.

Forts are true depictions of a modern childhood.
We all made them. We all loved them. We all played in them.

I used to build forts with my mom, my grandma, and my cousin. I even made one with my girlfriend when we started dating. From the age of 3 up to 27, the great walls of the fort kept standing, and they still do.

In reality, they are nothing but a pile of sheets, pillows, and some furniture, maybe a drying rack.
However, the memory is so much more. So pure, so deeply intimate and comforting. It's all we ever needed for feeling safe.

It's the extension of the inner fire we all have inside. That one safe place we can always retreat to and reconnect with ourselves.

As adults, we usually give up building forts and other childlike fantasies. They are not "important enough" to "waste time on". We have to tend to our duties.

Although, we keep carrying these fond memories with us.

We carry this inner fire, that place that gives us strength to go on, a flaming shield of our soul that protects us from the cold on the outside. It helps us to keep on going through the pains, fears, and discomforts of the world out there.

It keeps us warm. It helps us to stay divine.
