Hi, I am Bastien

Take my hand and reconnect with your inner child.

I am a visual artist from Central Europe.

I love nostalgia, psychology and tribal folklore, and I look for similarities between these areas.

I believe that all of us live the same stories over and over, and that makes us much closer to each other than we'd often like to admit.

My Art

In my art, I try and explore the most inner mechanism of my own soul, and put it "on paper" using widely known concepts.

Arcade machines, childhood games, atmospheres most of us have experienced through-out our lives.

I am always in search of rediscovering my most innate me, and trying to fit that into my life on this world.

Medium

My body of work has been created mostly using 3D software, namely Blender.

This is accompanied by various other creative tools, such as Photoshop/Affinity photo for 2D elements in my scenes (posters, signs, textures), Ableton (sound design), and Adobe After Effects or DaVinci Resolve/Fusion for colouring and compositing.

In my later pieces, I have also used other techniques, such as 3D scanning of myself to be used as an animated person in the artwork, or procedural designs for various elements in specific works.
